Sex and Food

Women have a higher percentage of body fat than men and are more likely than men to be obese. Obesity is highest among those with low incomes.

Emotional eating can drive you to consume too many calories. Boredom, stress and absence of sex instigate depression. Using food to soothe anxiety will make you fat especially if you’re eating a lot of processed fatty or sugary foods. In many families food is the only currency of love and food is used to make us feel comforted and loved.

When a woman is stressed, the hormonal changes in her body trigger a chemical reaction causing decreased libido and sexual response. Sexlessness due to stress makes you tenser. People, who have sex less, eat more to compensate for their frustration. The increased weight may result in even less sex.
