The EPA has found synthetic hormone-disrupting chemicals in shampoo preservatives and many of them can be found in products that claim to be ‘natural’ and ‘organic.’

The most disturbing of these is antimicrobial preservatives, called parabens, which have proven to disrupt your endocrine system.

The endocrine system regulates every function of your body. The hormone, estrogen, is secreted by ovaries and regulates fertility, pregnancy, menstruation and fat cell activity. Too much estrogen can cause problems including weight gain, fluid retention, and depression.

So what can you do to avoid these parabens?

Check your product labels for these terms:

Propylparaben

Parahydroxybenzoic acid

Parahydroxybenzoate

Methylparaben

Ethylparaben

Butylparaben

Benzyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid

Methyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid

Ethyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid

Propyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid

Butyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

The same ingredient which produces all that foam and lather when you shampoo your hair is also the ingredient used in car washes and garages as a degreasing agent!

Dioxane

In the medical journal Cancer’s 2007 review of mammary carcinogens, dioxane was identified as one of the 216 chemicals which was linked to breast cancer in rodents.

MSG

You’ve been told to avoid MSG in your food, but MSG is more than likely in your shampoo, often hidden and referred to as amino acids, yeast extract, nayad, glutamic acid, or glutamates.

Propylene Glycol

This active ingredient is found in engine coolants and antifreeze, airplane de-icers, tire sealants, rubber cleaners, polyurethane cushions, paints, adhesives, enamels and varnishes. Despite the fact the material safety data sheet warns users to avoid skin contact with propylene glycol as it is a strong skin irritant and can also cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage, it’s probably in your shampoo.

A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain.
December ...

A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain.

December 2012. HSBC agreed to pay a record $1.92 billion in fines to U.S. authorities for allowing itself to be used to launder a river of drug money flowing out of Mexico. The Justice Department also charged the bank with violating sanctions laws by doing business with customers in Iran, Libya, Sudan, Burma and Cuba, No bank or bank executives have been indicted.

Hundreds of protesters greeted JP Morgan Chase bank shareholders at their annual meeting in Columbus Ohio to tell the big bank that it’s time for Wall Street pay up for its part in the financial and foreclosure crisis that has cost residents in Ohio cities $1.6 billion in property values since 2009. The protest was held as regulators and state attorneys generals continue to investigate the lending practices of big banks like Chase, Wells Fargo and Bank of America that are suspected of committing foreclosure fraud during the economic and housing crisis.

During an investigation by agents from the US Drug Enforcement Administration, it emerged that drug cartels had laundered $billions through Wachovia. In March 2010, Wachovia settled. Now that the year’s “deferred prosecution” has expired, the bank is in the clear. The bank was sanctioned for failing to apply anti-laundering strictures to the transfer of $378.4bn. At the height of the 2008 banking crisis, the head of the United Nations office on drugs and crime, said, the proceeds from drugs were “the only liquid investment capital” available to banks on the brink of collapse. “Inter-bank loans were funded by money that originated from the drugs trade,” he said. “There were signs that some banks were rescued that way.”

Ultra-low interest loans provided by the Federal Reserve during the financial crisis turned out to be direct corporate welfare to big banks. Instead of using the Fed loans to reinvest in the economy; the financial institutions lent this money back to the federal government at a higher rate of interest by purchasing U.S. government securities

In the 1st quarter of 2008, JPMorgan Chase had an average of $1.2 billion in outstanding Fed loans with a 2.1 percent interest rate while it held $2.2 billion in U.S. government securities with an average yield of 4.6 percent,

Banks have provided French energy giant Total with more than £3oom in corporate loans since it started exploring tar sands development in Madagascar in 2008. Local groups have been campaigning to halt the mining, fearing a repeat of the severe water pollution affecting communities near tar sands projects in Alberta, Canada.

The banks, intelligence agencies and the military work together to raid and pillage the resources of the world. Multi- national corporations rule, the presidents, prime ministers and heads of states of the world are puppets, mascots.

I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men. Woodrow Wilson

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered…I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies… The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. Thomas Jefferson

Can we all agree that a $1 billion swindle represents a lot of money, and the fact that Citigroup agreed last week to pay a $285 million fine to settle SEC charges for ‘misleading investors’ demonstrates a damning admission of culpability? So why has Robert Rubin, the onetime treasury secretary who went on to become Citigroup chairman during the time of the corporation’s financial shenanigans, never been held accountable for this and other deep damage done to the U.S. economy on his watch? Rubin’s destructive impact on the economy in enabling these giant corporate banks to run amok was far greater than that of swindler Bernard Madoff, who sits in prison under a 150-year sentence

The European Central Bank is like a fire department that is letting the house burn down to teach the children not to play with matches. The ECB is withholding relief in order to extort austerity measures from member governments. Europe is in the process of being ‘structurally readjusted’ by a private banking cartel.

Washington’s bank bailouts will likely go down as one of the most hated — and bungled — operations in American history.

While Congress was debating back in 2008 whether or not to bailout banksters with a $700 billion blank check, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors were funneling $7.7 trillion to Wall Street under the table – without one constituent phone call – without worrying about one election – without having to give one explanation.

The Vatican Bank was founded in 1942 by Pope Pius XII to manage assets destined for religious or charitable works. Sicilian financier Michele Sindona was appointed by the pope to manage the Vatican’s foreign investments. He also brought in Roberto Calvi, a Catholic banker in northern Italy. Sindona’s banking empire collapsed in the mid-1970s and his links to the mob were exposed, sending him to prison and his eventual death from poisoned coffee. Calvi then inherited his role. Calvi headed the Banco Ambrosiano, which collapsed in 1982 after the disappearance of $1.3 billion in loans made to dummy companies in Latin America. The Vatican had provided letters of credit for the loans. Calvi was found a short time later hanging from scaffolding on Blackfriars Bridge, his pockets loaded with 11 pounds of bricks and $11,700 in various currencies. After an initial ruling of suicide, murder charges were filed against five people, including a major Mafia figure, but all were acquitted after trial. While denying wrongdoing, the Vatican Bank paid $250 million to Ambrosiano’s creditors. Both the Calvi and Sindona cases remain unsolved.

Italian investigators have charged four priests with laundering money out of the Vatican’s official bank. It’s the latest in a series of investigations into Vatican finances dating back to 2010. In December of that year, Pope Benedict XVI decreed an updated anti-money laundering law for Vatican finances.

The Steven J Baum law firm has filed papers with government agencies notifying them that it plans to close. The Baum firm’s tactics, which included the “robo-signing” of documents, has been among the most criticized. Last year, a state court judge in Brooklyn called one foreclosure filing from the Baum firm “incredible, outrageous, ludicrous and disingenuous”.

President Obama received more money from Wall Street than any other candidate has ever received in a presidential campaign. And he surrounded himself with alumni from Goldman Sachs. Nobody has spent one day in prison as a result of the massive financial fraud perpetrated by these Wall Street firms.

Fed intervention in the financial markets is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage

US banks’ derivative bets of $230 trillion, concentrated in five banks, are 15.3 times larger than the US GDP. A failed political system that allows unregulated banks to place uncovered bets 15 times larger than the US economy is a system that is headed for catastrophic failure. As the word spreads of the fantastic lack of judgment in the American political and financial systems, the catastrophe in waiting will become a reality.

The illicit acts of Barclays bank led to a $450 million penalty because they manipulated key interest rates to bolster profits during the 2008 financial crisis. Senior executives said they were following a common practice that regulators implicitly approved.

America’s leading bankers and industrialists – Rockefeller, Walker, Dupont, Harrriman, Ford, Mellon, Bush etc. – funded and supported the Nazis in Germany, the Bolsheviks in Russia and the House of Saud (Saudi Arabia.)

The BCCI saga still ranks as one of the biggest banking scandals of all time. The CIA held numerous accounts at BCCI, Oliver North also used and held multiple accounts at BCCI. These bank accounts were used for a variety of illegal covert operations, including transfers of money and weapons related to the Iran-Contra scandal. The CIA also worked with BCCI in arming and financing the Afghan mujahideen during the Afghan War against the Soviet Union, using BCCI to launder proceeds from trafficking heroin grown in the Pakistan-Afghanistan borderlands, boosting the flow of narcotics to European and U.S. markets. The US intelligence agencies used BCCI to funnel drug money to Afghan Mujahideen in their fight against Soviet invasion and to insurgents such as Nicaraguan Contras. BCCI frequently handled money for dictators such as Saddam Hussein, Manuel Noriega, Hussain Mohammad Ershad and Samuel Doe. Other account holders included the Medellin Cartel and mercenary terrorist Abu Nidal. In 1988, the bank was implicated for being the center of a major money-laundering scheme. After a six-month trial, BCCI, under immense pressure from US authorities, pleaded guilty in 1990.

The US government should cancel the $230 trillion in derivative bets, declaring them null and void. The only major effect of closing out or netting all the swaps would be to take $230 trillion of leveraged risk out of the financial system. The financial gangsters who want to continue enjoying betting gains while the public underwrites their losses would scream and yell about the sanctity of contracts. However, a government that can murder its own citizens or throw them into dungeons without due process can abolish all the contracts it wants in the name of national security. And most certainly, unlike the war on terror, purging the financial system of the gambling derivatives would vastly improve national security.

New York and London have become the world’s two biggest laundries of criminal and drug money, and offshore tax havens. Not the Cayman Islands, not the Isle of Man or Jersey. The big laundering is right through the City of London and Wall Street. If you don’t see the correlation between the money laundering by banks and the 30,000 people killed in Mexico, you’re missing the point. The only thing that will make the banks properly vigilant to what is happening is when they hear the rattle of handcuffs in the boardroom.

Clearstream, which handles the back-office paperwork for some 40% of European stock and bond trades, was found to have overstated its assets in custody by $1.5 trillion. In 2001, it was alleged that Clearstream was a main platform for money laundering for hundreds of banks, and operated hundreds of confidential accounts for banks so they could move money undetected.

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part. You can’t even passively take part! And you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus and you’ve got to make it stop!

Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes the laws. … Mayer Amschell Rothschild

Allegorical works have this advantage that a single word suffices to illuminate connections which the multitude cannot grasp. Such works are available to everyone, but their significance addresses itself to the elite. Above and beyond the masses, sender and receiver understand each other. The inexplicable success of certain works derives from this quality of allegory which constitutes not a mere fashion, but a form of esoteric communications.

Russia, which joined the WTO after 18 years of negotiations, announced that beef and pork imports from US producers using ractopamine would be prohibited. Ractopamine is a drug that is used as a feed additive to promote leanness in animals raised for their meat. It may be responsible for hyperactivity, muscle breakdown and a 10 percent mortality in pigs. Ractopamine has been banned in over 160 countries worldwide, including China! Note that its handling instructions are: Use protective clothing, impervious gloves, protective eye wear, and a NIOSH-approved dust mask”. Yet the FDA has classed it as safe to swallow!

The fact is there is nothing that you can trust, whether you like it or not. Neither your gods, nor your science can save you. ...

The fact is there is nothing that you can trust, whether you like it or not. Neither your gods, nor your science can save you. You have to be your own teacher. You have to question everything that man has accepted as valuable.

Martin Luther King’s real name was Michael King. Martin Luther, whose name Martin Luther King adopted, was a German, priest, professor of theology and a prominent figure of the Protestant Reformation. When he challenged the authority of the Pope in 1520, the Knights Templar, who later merged with the Free Masons, supported Martin Luther. It may be important to note that Martin Luther was a racist. He wrote that Jewish homes should be destroyed, their synagogues burned, money confiscated and liberty curtailed.
Martin Luther King is the only person in the US, who has a national holiday on his birthday. There are other days of remembrance such as Presidents’ Day, but no one else but Jesus Christ is recognized with a similar holiday.

Here is the end of King’s last speech delivered in support of the striking sanitation workers at Mason Temple, in Memphis, TN on April 3, 1968 – the day before he was assassinated.

“Well, I don’t know what will happen now. We’ve got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn’t matter with me now. Because I’ve been to the mountaintop. And I don’t mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land. And I’m happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”

Are these not the prophetic words of a man that knows that he is about to be killed?
On January 31, 1977, as a result of lawsuits by King’s allies against the FBI, a US district judge ordered FBI surveillance files sealed for 50 years. Who are King’s allies? Why would they make such a demand from the FBI? Does it not sound a bit odd, even ironic that a judge has to order the FBI to keep a secret about their illegal surveillance of a US citizen? Records are usually sealed because there is information within them that could cause social unrest if revealed to the general public. In other words, they probably did something illegal. And murder does come to mind or why would they need files to be sealed for 50 years?

In 1999 Benjamin P. Barksdale, Grand Master of Prince Hall Freemasonry in Georgia, posthumously made Dr. Martin Luther King a Mason at sight. Such action runs counter to all of the ‘landmarks’ and accepted usages of Freemasonry since making a member of the fraternity posthumously violates the premise of the first question normally proposed to a candidate: “Do you make this request of your own free will and accord?”.

It is the only instance in the history of Freemasonry when a deceased person had been made a Freemason. Dr. King’s widow, Coretta Scott King, accepted the honor on behalf of her late husband.
Coretta Scott King would be considered an ally? Did she conspire with the FBI to keep the files on King sealed for 50 years. Why would she want her husband to become a Mason after he’s been dead for over 30 years?

Was King a Mason before he was killed? Otherwise this would violate some of the oldest laws and traditions in Freemasonry? Why would they do that? Perhaps he was a Freemason but it was deemed necessary to be kept secret, since this would lead to revelations on who was behind the conspiracy to murder King. But in order to keep him a brother of the order (after they killed him!) they pretended to posthumously make him a member of the fraternity when he was already a member.

Could it be that Martin Luther King was reeled in by the status quo? Perhaps it is revealing to look behind the curtain and see who is funding the NAACP, the ACLU or the Black Panthers or the Weathermen in the 60′s and 70′s? Or who funds the alternative press? Or who bought the Occupy Movement? Big Brother is everywhere, watching, proselytizing and controlling. Perhaps Martin Luther King made a pact with them ( the Occult, the Masons, the Devil, whatever name you wish to give them) in order to be heard, with certain restrictions, but still went ahead and said what he wanted. Maybe that’s why he knew they would kill him.

If you listen carefully to this speech on Vietnam,( the link is below), you see he makes no distinction between black and white, American or non American. He demonstrates very lucidly the corruption of war and he very succinctly brings the civil rights movement out of the parochial setting of the US to include every country removing the divide and conquer mantra that power depends on. This is why this is his most important and provocative speech, the speech that he was warned not to make and most likely the reason he was murdered. But if there has been no improvement in human rights in this world, it is our fault. We are programmed to think positive and we don’t want to look at the facts which are negative. The rich are richer and the poor are poorer and more weapons are being sold and more people are dying in more and more wars and more and more people are in prisons and more people are enslaved We are not listening, because we want to delude ourselves into thinking that the world is a better place because of him. That is exactly what the people who killed him want you to think. If you believe this, you are not looking at the facts you are listening to their propaganda and you are hearing what you want to hear. Even considering all the facts it is still very difficult to understand the complexity of this story because so many of the pieces of the puzzle are missing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b80Bsw0UG-U
Only the mind that is free can discover what is true, discover, not be told what is true. The description is not the fact. You may describe something in the most lovely language, put it in the most spiritual or lyrical words, but the word is not the fact. When you are hungry, the description of food does not feed you. But most of us are satisfied with the description of truth, and the description, the symbol, has taken the place of the factual.

We make the most fantastic and unusual breakfast. Fruit, coffee, tea, toast, (special 5 grain health bread), butter and jam, orange juice and cereal which includes the usual fare, (cornflakes, cheerios and raisin bran),but we also make homemade granola with all kinds of seeds and nuts and dried fruit. Then we cook Spanish torte, (eggs onions, peppers and potatoes) coffee cake (there’s no coffee in coffee cake!) breakfast quesadilla with eggs, ham and cheese, apple cake and surprises as we experiment with new recipes. And most important-philosophy (look for the glass of quotes in the middle of the table).

Over the last 30 years, the IMF and the World Bank have pushed so-called developing countries to dismantle all forms of protection for their local farmers and to open up their markets to global agribusiness, speculators and subsidised food from rich countries. This has transformed most developing countries from being exporters of food into importers. Today about 70 per cent of developing countries are net importers of food. On top of this, finance liberalisation has made it easier for investors to take control of markets for their own private benefit.

Agricultural policy has lost touch with its most basic goal: that of feeding people. Rather than rethink their own disastrous policies, governments and think tanks are blaming production problems, the growing demand for food in China and India, and biofuels. While these have played a role, the fundamental cause of today’s food crisis is neoliberal globalisation itself, which has transformed food from a source of livelihood security into a mere commodity to be gambled away, even at the cost of widespread hunger among the world’s poorest people.

We Americans love to say,”It’s a free country.”As if somehow our freedom is dependant on someone else.On a superficial level, certainly if you can’t be sure that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are being respected by our government, it is diminished. But true freedom is something else and if we can find this freedom the other will come automatically.

True freedom surely comes from the truth and what could be more simple than the truth? There is only one other choice and that of course is a lie.Where do we find this truth? The truth is inside all of us.It is not buried deep if we can just allow ourselves to look we will find it.Therefore we must know ourselves. This means that we should know what our relationship with the world is,the world of ideas and people and personal relationships with your neighbors, with nature and with the things we possess.

How are we to be aware of anything? We see the birds and the trees and there is a response to a stimulus,we observe this ordinary process, and we don’t need to study any books to see what takes place.Through identification you can have pleasure and pain. Our “capacity” is this concern with pleasure and pain,so long as we are looking to this “capacity” we will fail, because the understanding of ourselves does not depend on capacity. This is not a technique that you develop, but it can be tested by the way you talk and the way you behave.Watch yourself without any identification or comparison or condemnation. Most of our activities are unconscious and now you will be aware of these actions but without guilt or blame.

When I condemn something I do not understand it,so be aware with no sense of justification. We begin to understand ourselves, not just the superficial layers of our consciousness, but the motives, our hidden, confused demands, anxieties and fears.

However it is important not to accumulate the experience which awareness brings. It is important to be aware from moment to moment. We cannot approach a problem of relationship which is always new with an old pattern.

This passive awareness does not come from any form of discipline or any practice. It is just to be aware from moment to moment of our thinking and feeling and not only when we are awake but in our dreams. Thus we open the door into the hidden which becomes the known, and we must go beyond the door into the unknown.Reality is not a thing which is knowable by the mind because the mind is the result of the known,of the past and therefore the mind must understand itself and its functioning, its truth, and only then is it possible for the unknown to be.

Many thanks Krishnamurti for your words of wisdom.
